webOS goes Open-Source!







So here is HP's solution about one of the biggest flops in the history: On Friday, the company said that they are giving away the webOS software, which has been used for their Touch-Pad and Pre series.

Apotheker is out! Meg Whitman new CEO of HP!


After only 11 months, Leo Apotheker is no longer CEO of Hewlett Packard! After joining HP in November, Apotheker did some drastic steps like abandoning WebOS. This wasn't well seen in the company, therefore it was only a question of time kicking Leo out....

HP wants to sell the whole computer sector - no further webOS devices, too!



Sad news for all HP fans and customers: The CEO of HP, Leo Apotheker, announced that they will never ever produce computers anymore!
That's not all: the company from Palo Alto also declared, they will discontinue to sell smartphones and tablets with webOS! The reason is obvious:

HP TouchPad for pre-order

Finally, HP's tablet is available for pre-order - shipping on July, 1st. The 16GB version takes $499.99 out of your wallet and for 32GB you'll have to pay $599.99. Read on for the specs.

webOS - full Skype integration on the Pre 3

As the german "webOS-Blog" posted on his website, the VoIP service "Skype" will be fully integrated into HP's OS. You'll be able to choose whether your device shall route all international calls via Skype or make it ask you every time you call. It's also going to do voice and video chat over WiFi and 3G.
