CG presents... Galaxy Nexus - Google's newest flagship!

Here it is! Google's brand-new smartphone hits the shelves! After the Nexus One (built by HTC) and the Nexus S (built by Samsung) it's the third device of Google's "Nexus" series and as the name "Galaxy" suggests, this one is again built by Samsung. So, what's special/new about it? Well, there are two things that come straight to my mind.

First: Ice Cream Sandwich. It's the first device with the newest version of Android (4.0).

Second: Super AMOLED HD. The Nexus' display features a resolution of 1280x720 pixels which brings us to a pixel density of 316 ppi (pixels per inch). That is the highest ppi of any smartphone over 4'' (sorry iPhone).

Read on for a full spec list, some pictures and our hands-on video of the device.

Specs:
  • curved 4.65 inch Super AMOLED HD display (resolution: 1280x720)
  • 1.2 GHz dual-core processor
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 5MP camera recording in 1080p at 30 fps
  • 16GB of internal storage (unfortunately no microSD slot)
  • battery with 1750 mAh
  • NFC (Near Field Communication)
  • 8.84mm thin at 135 grams
  • running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
