Asus shows off their "Padfone" at Computex 2011
Now you probably wonder, "what is a Padfone, a tablet or a phone?". Well, it's both. Behind that bulge on its back, hides a smartphone. Asus' idea of it is this: as long as you need sometihng portable, you use the phone and as soon as you need a bigger screen, you just put the phone inside the tablet which will even reload the phone's battery while inside.
So far we've got only a few information on specs: the tablet is going to sport a 10.1 inch screen and the phone's screen is gonna measure 4.3 inch. A 5 megapixel camera is built in the phone but will also be used by the tablet. As soon as the phone is inside, of course. But what version of Android will run it? Gingerbread for mobile phones or Honeycomb, which is specifically designed for tablets? Asus' answered, it's not going to run Honeycomb but it will indeed run the latest version of Android. Well, it's a hot summer and I'm sure everyone would appreciate some ice cream...
